Parking At School
It is school policy to have homework regularly. The Year 0, 1 and 2 children will bring home a reading book to share with you. For the Year 3-8 children homework includes spelling, reading, tables, and information gathering. Activities may vary over time, and will get progressively more difficult as children get older. All homework should be completed independently by the child, although support and encouragement by parents is appreciated.
We are proud of our new library. Please encourage your child to use it fully. Ensure that your child has a library book bag (approx. 30 cms x 40 cms and available from the school office for $4.30) for transporting books as this helps to keep the books together and offers protection. (Most children use their reading folders.)
Parking At School
The school has an enclosed car park for school and hall users. There is only one entrance so all parents need to be cautious when entering.
Please leave the front of the school free for the mail van and teacher cars. Parents should park in the parking bay opposite the school.
The school has a separate bus bay off Swannanoa Rd. This needs to be kept clear at all times. No pedestrians or cyclists should exit the school through this gate. Please keep all cars away including the bus turning area on the far side of the road.
Please park well away from the school entrance, on the far side of the road or in front of the Community Hall. Come and collect your child from the school grounds by way of the tennis courts. There is an assembly area for parents at the sandpit and Junior Playground.

2) Formal interviews are held at the start of Term 1 and the beginning of Term 3. These are Goal setting interviews which include the students. Further formal interviews can be made on request throughout the year.

In view of the risks to health from over-exposure to the sun, the school requires the use of sun hats during Terms 1 & 4. We also urge the use of sunscreen. The sun hats, which are described in the official Uniform Policy, must be worn on all school trips and outings as well.
